  Moonlight 2016

  ★★★★★ Added

  The best thing about this film is how humane it is. It's hard to see a humane depiction of minorities in cinema and this film does it right. This coming-of-age story of a homosexual black person growing up in a environment full of violence, discrimination and lack of opportunity is touching, meaningful and, in our opinion, puts a fresh perspective on how we should handle the depiction of minorities in our culture.

  With great cinematography that maximizes the evolution of the character, with a brilliant use of colours and masterful storytelling, Moonlight certainly deserves the praises it gets.

  Gone Girl 2014

  ★★★★½ Added

  Such a great movie, one of David Fincher's finest. It has everything: chilling suspense, cinematographic beauty, terrific acting and great chemestry between Affleck and Rosamund Pike and a Hitchcock-worthy plot twist to the ordinary lives of a middle class couple.

  No much else to say. Just watch it!

  Joker is a somewhat divisive movie.

  From one view it stretches the limits of the superhero genre, not only making a supervillain origin story, but trying to make this origin believable, approaching relevant themes like class struggle and the psychological repercussions of abject poverty. That and the great acting of Joachim Phoenix makes Joker a movie truly worth seeing among so many mediocre Marvel Formula movies.
