This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
The concept of cloning and the ethical consequences of it are brought up with intriguing ways, but sadly aren't explored as much as I would have liked.
Mickey's still a fantastic character, the personality differences in each iteration of his is a nice touch, and Pattinson is great as ever. Ruffalo is great as the comic relief, I'll gladly watch him in any role.

Perfect Days 2023
From the first second up until the last one this film is a beauty. This alone makes it so much easier to focus on those tiny aspects of joy and wonder in your days. Seeing Hirayama's first day really hit me in the gut. Seeing what life could be if one is always present. And the family drama, phew.

I have very mixed feelings about this. On one hand we have a beautiful, nostalgic depiction of growing up in the streets of an impoverished neighborhood, and how that affects one's teenage years, and their life trajectory as a whole. But I could not get past a feeling of exploitation on the filmmakers part, even though his connection with the family feels genuine. At parts I felt like the film was overstaying its welcome, lingering too much in certain time periods. But then again, this is essential for achieving some of the most sincere and heartwarming scenes that I have seen in my life.
