  The trivia behind this is pretty fascinating. Originally meant as a short film for Fred Allen, the film was overhauled when he caught an illness the night before. In comes George Burns and Gracie Allen, who with only a night's notice, improvise several bits from their vaudeville routine in their film debut.

  It's charming and the routines still hold up, but the film is nothing innovative, as it's just the two standing in front of the screen doing their bits.…
