I thoroughly enjoyed the first film, as it is one of my favorites from the 80s. It was not an Oscar winning flick but you could have a lot of fun regardless. I unfortunately did not have the same amount of fun as I did with the first, as I watched the sequel. have no intelligent, nor analytical review for this, it's mostly just comic book nerd babbling, neurotic trembling and excitement, there is nothing that screams "film students analyse me!", just with a few well written and thought out personal messages, well timed non offensive-offensive jokes, and A LOT of violence and vulgarity (and Hugh Jackman which l am not opposed of iykyk).

The Fall Guy is so much fun to watch, it doesn’t take itself seriously and you can just sit and have fun. I have no other words, to me it was perfect.

Monkey man is brutal, and fun, and very very violent. It does not surpass John Wick-Style violence (see JW chapter 4 for reference), yet the head-bashing, throat-slamming butt-kickery is there. The writing of this movie is surprisingly well done for an action movie, it gives the character his drive and his purpose to fight, however immoral his way of fighting is.
