  we have a responsibility to witness these realities especially when closing our eyes seems like a salve to the wound of seeing the truth. especially when it seems like an obstacle to completing work (a book for baldwin) unscathed. what does it mean to not betray our humanity?

  this film really felt like an understanding of indigenous survival and resistance (to me at least). Heavy themes throughout and the animation was beautiful as ghibli studios always delivers.  it should be more popular for sure.
