This movie is such a mixed bag. It does so many good things, but just falls short for me. There are so many better ways to handle Superman living in a darker, more realistic world. It feels like Zack Snyder doesn't truly understand Superman and what makes him special, which is disappointing considering how many good iterations of the character have come out recently. If you want a good Superman movie that tackles similar ideas, watch Superman vs. The Elite and thank me later. We NEED a good modern live-action Superman movie, especially in the times we're living in. James Gunn, please save us!
