Wow! This is one of those movies where it seems more appropriate to call it a 'flick' rather than a 'movie', if that makes any sense. Like most thrillers, it's great when it's putting characters in situations and making them figure out how to get out of them without showing their hands, and starts to fall apart a little once all of the cards are on the table and it gets a little more action-y.
It's exactly what it says…
Fucking insane. It's sort of like Apollo 13, if you took out the triumphant Spielberg can-do-ism, and replaced it with dull fatalism. It's got the least triumphant happy ending I've ever seen. There's a dull whine underlying the soundtrack in about every scene, even the ones in middle-of-nowhere Texas.
I fucking loved it.
Too much killing gangsters and making fun of fat people and being racist, not enough kidnapping the pope!
The ending sequence ruled tho, every movie should end with a character being chased out of a church by guilt-induced hallucinations.
Loved how often the woman in the front checked her phone.
