Absolutely phenomenal film, the kind that gets under your skin and stays with you. It grips you and doesn’t let go even if there’s no clear danger or stakes on screen. The interactions between the characters are completely unpredictable and make you sink into your seat. Extremely uncomfortable in the best way, just when you think you’ve pinned an emotion to this movie it pulls the rug from under you.

Primer 2004
Movie was super confusing but also incredibly good. Definitely a fresh take on the time travel formula, focusing less on the actual mechanics on it and instead focusing on the consequences and moral implications. It’s even more impressive that it was made with a budget that’s the Hollywood equivalent to a shoe lace and two paper clips.

Dune: Part Two 2024
Astonishing and lovingly crafted. What an epic installation into the Dune saga, we can only hope that Denis puts in the same amount of love into Part 3 as these last two movies (which is a no-brainer he will). One of the best movies I’ve seen in a long time and the performances, production design, and costume design were top-notch and breathtaking. Hollywood needs to take notes.
