Not enough of the stuff that’s interestingly unpleasant (the way people explode) to counterbalance everything that’s unpleasantly uninteresting (the way people talk to or otherwise interact with each other) but it primed the audience to go absolutely bananas when a rat scurried through the aisles halfway through, so I remain enchanted by the collective movie watching experience.
