The poetry in this film is inspiring. the shots and structures were good but the storytelling was Aahh-mazing. I had a bit of anxiety in the last few minutes but I think I felt as good as he did after that.

Tamako Love Story 2014
I don't think this movie will come out as strong if not for its series. Even the series didn't have anything spectacular to show. But like all of Naoko's works, there's a subtle form of warmth and genuineness in her characters and storyline, and of course the ever so graceful animation. And this film is really like a normal day, but with all the banalities embellished with cuteness and the honesty of being young.

The extent of bleakness and nihilism in this film reminded me of Natsuo Kirino's Grotesque. Both stories revolved around an idealized sweet and innocent female figure that, we'd later realize, led everyone into their own damnation.
