ok so the russian oligarchs were the most likable characters in this movie...wow sean baker you're such a good writer!!! sufficiently entertaining but empty A24 slop. yawn. i refuse to believe that a prostitute could be that naive and would ever like that obnoxious twink who acts like a 15 year old boy. baker has such contempt for anora it's disturbing.

there’s this trend of movies that are clearly made for people who are addicted to tik tok and it needs to end…. obnoxious editing, bizarre pacing, throwing a bunch of shit at the wall but being too lazy to coalesce it into anything substantial… this is not a smart, clever, or thought-provoking movie. it’s really not about anything at all besides “beauty standards=bad.” references were so heavy handed it was insulting.
but it was very entertaining and fun, i loved the body horror and Margaret qualley is beautiful!!
