There were two guys sitting near me, one of them on his phone almost the entire film. About every 5 minutes he kept asking his mate what was going on. It was extremely annoying. This is a film where you can’t switch off for a moment because you’ll be completely lost, as more information gets revealed and the blame game constantly shifts.

It was extremely tense, and surprisingly funny. The dinner scenes were especially great as they brought the whole cast together for a little mayhem. Blanchett and Fassbender were so good in those moments, perfect chemistry whenever they shared the screen.

I enjoyed it, but it was nothing special. Pattison had yet another unrecognisable voice and he played both of his pretty different personalities really well.

Some of the characters were very over the top, almost cartoony… Honestly I see a lot Okja in here, both in terms of the characters and the general feel of the film. But I think Bong did it a bit better last time around.

If I hadn’t seen the other two films before this, I would never have guessed this was a horror franchise. I still enjoyed it, but it all felt a little lifeless and honestly a bit messy.

Mia Goth was still fantastic but she doesn’t come close to topping her performance from Pearl. And there was a great cast of supporting characters, who unfortunately felt a bit underused. It was still a fun tribute to 80s Hollywood and it had some good moments, but in the end we did not get the film we deserved.

If you just discard the first episode, because it really didn’t fit at all, then this is near perfect.
To see a fairly basic villain like Dooku be expanded upon so much in just 3 little shorts was incredible. It gave him so much more depth and reasoning.
And then as a bonus, to see more of Ahsoka’s journey as it bridges the gap between her Clone Wars and Rebels arcs. And the way it ties into the final episode…
