  Actually infuriating how it places the blame on women hating our bodies on women without ever mentioning the words patriarchy, male gaze, internalised-misogyny, racism, or consumerism as well as all the other socio-cultural aspects at play. Powerful in some ways but also extremely harmful in others

  Black and white but I could see things in colour. New York. Natural lighting. The structure of the narrative felt similar to a play. A great example of montage. Perfect ending. Feels very personal. Woody Allen-ish. Indie. One to add to the films that liberate my idea of how to make a movie and what a movie needs to be. Feels like an understated version of Lady Bird. Greta is extremely charismatic. It would be very interesting to visually compare with Marriage Story. I love Adam Driver.
