Die Another Day 2002
Started off really strong, the sequence in North Korea was entertaining and set up a compelling villain. Good fight choreography, reasonably strong VFX for the time. Thankfully not as campy as other pre-Craig Bond movies. Plot boiled down to “bad guy wants to takeover/kill the world, Bond eventually stops him after fucking Halle Berry”. Cool
Side note: mainstream blockbuster movies like this can be a cool time capsule revealing Western political dogma of the time in which it was produced. It kinda caught me off guard that China was depicted as an true ally of the West, and North Korea was their mutual, sophisticated enemy
