Ani isn’t a typical strong female lead and that’s what bothers people about this film. Her complexity can’t be nailed down or categorized, and that’s the point. It’s a useless endeavor. She’s imperfect, she’s flawed, she’s unpredictable, and that’s the kind of authenticity we’re missing in movies that explore the sex industry and how it affects women
More people need to realize that the common trauma response to sexual abuse IS sex, and that most coping mechanisms are unhealthy and ugly and uncomfortable

You can already guess what’s gonna happen in the movie within the first few minutes. It starts off with people taking pictures of Elisabeth’s Hollywood walk of fame star but soon start to forget who she is and walk all over it. It goes from one person jumping over it, making sure they don’t touch the entire tile it’s cemented on, to another person dropping their burger on it and smearing the ketchup with their shoe.
