The Only Living Boy in New York 2017
I did in fact watch this at 1am, movies tend to hit different at midnight. Pleasantly surprised by this film each character has enough personality and depth to keep it interesting. The plot had me engaged and I like the aesthetic the film is circled around. Everything ties together neatly in the end which made me happy plus Callum Turner is the main character which is a bonus cause I love him.

This movie left me gutted. So many messages packed tightly in one film. The outstanding production and meticulous casting in this movie further enhances its complexity. I wouldn’t necessarily classify this film as sad but it was definitely a perspective switch. Both Emma Stone and Ryan Gosling carry the musical with their undeniable talents.

This is for sure one of my new favourite comedies. It took me a little extra effort to identify the plot during the first 20-ish minutes of the film but once my understanding of the main storyline became clear the movie started to get intriguing and super hilarious.

Love & Other Drugs 2010
Give it a try. It may not be for you, but from the start, I enjoyed this film. This romantic comedy highlights the power and impact one person can have on another’s life, as well as how growth—both personal and relational—vacillates between triumphs and setbacks. I have not seen any films where Anne Hathaway or Jake Gyllenhaal portray roles similar to these and was pleasantly surprised by how well they play their characters. The chemistry between them is unmatched.
