I really do appreciate political commentary but Mickey 17 doesn’t invoke the deep contemplation of any kind of message, instead incorporating obvious themes that appeal to the masses, a detriment to the plot. Yes, a capitalist dystopia commits human’s rights abuses, devils can use religion to influence the world and politicians for the sake of enriching themselves, depraved and greedy politicians are pleasant visionaries on camera, and cloning has disturbing moral consequences… but we and the informed viewer already know…
