I don’t get how this got so hyped… I agree with the fundamental point that the whole film was visually stunning. Like the perfect blend of colour, pulling off some really challenging dark shots. But my god this was a push to get through. I guess they had to follow this kinda formulaic plot due to the material, but Robbie seems reliant on just throwing in Willem Dafoe to scream at people and thinking he deserves best director. Glad I watched it but probs won’t again.
