  The meh scoring is not for the same reasons as the major backlash received online. Yes, the camera probably grazed over the children twerking a little too long which made some parts a little uncomfortable. However, the audience is SUPPOSED to feel uncomfortable and the director succeeded in getting that message across. It was good commentary on how little girls are growing up too fast in today's society and was inspired by the director's life experiences as well.

  Points were taken away for the plot devices. I just couldn't take some parts seriously, but overall it was definitely worth a watch.
