The Grand Budapest Hotel 2014
Remember he is Willem Dafoe, not Willem Dafriend. Fun and standard changing movie that doesn't shy away from using interesting techniques like stop motion. The writing is amazing and very quotable, but the story is nothing life changing, which is most definitely not a con of the movie. The movies intentions are very clear right from the start and pulls you into this wacky world of the two main characters wondering what will happen next. The story also uses clean metaphors to real events, but doesn't rely on them.

Holy shit. Such amazing cinematography and acting, just the pain of watching jojo realise his mother's fate everytime I rewatch is like a needle in my eye. Please understand the satirical nature, but don't take it as mindless comedy.
