  We love how the main character who the movie is titled after is reduced to a stereotype. Do we learn anything about her except that she's a baddie? I see what they were trying to do I think, but the characters are underdeveloped, underutilised clichés that are mostly used as plot devices. 
  It's just sad because it has good scenes and it has an interesting narrative and it's shot beautifully, but it left me with nothing.

  I genuinely can't understand why there's so much bad reception for this movie. I mean there's the "sympathizing with nazis" argument, which is so funny to me, because the whole point is to see the world through the brainwashed view of a 10-year old, who has never met Hitler.   I...have no words. I'm trying to digest what I just watched for almost 2 hours. I knew what I was getting myself into, but I didn't KNOW. This movie digs it's nails in your flesh and carves your skin out, but you still can't stop watching. This movie unravels parts of your mind, that you never wanted to discover.
