this movie made me laugh AND it made me cry and what more can we ask from movies if not to make us feel. much to say on capitalism and colonialism and obvious disdain for our current political climate (rightfully so)... but also so deeply full of love and tenderness.

this one is extremely sentimental for me... underneath the tough guy, knife fight, wrong side of the tracks visage, this movie is actually extremely soft and sweet. VERY homosexual in a way that makes the fact that s.e. hinton is a raging homophobe actually batshit. always makes me wish i was a boy also but that's beside the point
