I detest car chases, car fights, really any in-automobile action scene. In almost every action film the moment the music picks up and the hero gets in a car my brain settles in for a nap. But this film has one of the best shot and choreographed sequences I have ever seen, and it’s in a car. I suppose this is what most people feel when they see a good car chase or a good fight scene. I was thunderstruck. The rest of the movie was your standard action flair, but well acted and executed. A damned good time.

I Saw the TV Glow 2024
While at first it seems more style than substance, the film eventually draws one in once you uncover its true message. Which, when you consider its underlying theme of acceptance of oneself as far as gender and sexuality, is hauntingly on point.
