  i've been a ryota girl since birth so this automatically gets a high rating from me 😭🤍

  slam dunk is definitely a 90s thing, so the sudden desaturated modern style is a bit jarring at first. i can see what they were trying to go for, but at times, their movement lacks weight, and their facial expressions feel wooden. despite all of that, there are still glimpses of magic that inoue was able to put into the manga and onto the screen (especially when the game finally gets more intense).

  it may not be perfect, but it has heart.

  You like because, and you love despite

  got a lot more genuine chuckles out of me than i expected AND they managed to capture that 2000s heartwarming romcom charm perfectly! i will also now start integrating over-dick-around in my day to day vocabulary.
