definitely feels a lot richer and engaging than the first one, though I admit the government being incapable of catching K in the end was a bit confusing. it felt confusing with the revolution people too, it seems like they're there to act as a plot device/ambiguous motivation for K's sudden good heart, but ahh the ending was pretty good so I can't exactly complain.
very very cool shots though, especially with the large JOI projected lady and K wandering through that desert land. Love the use of silhouettes.Translated from by -

I saw the trailer for the minecraft film before this, thank God this movie cleansed me of that thing
okay so the story sounded complicated, but I felt super engaged through the tremendous visuals and vfx. like I sat through most of the heavy army battle scenes with my jaw open, I cannot imagine my computer rendering that kind of stuff and the crazy water/air/fire simulations WTFF

also i have never watched any other tarantino movie but i think he's teaching me to have better attention span because goddamn his dialogues are long, i really had to focus on that stuff
i really wanted to watch this also because fujimoto referenced it so much in the csm opening and i'm not disappointed. that tragic ending, the general aesthetic and absurdity really feels like a point of inspiration for him. i think i was mostly amused by how american everything felt.
