This for movie night w my sisters goes crazy. Going into it, I had no idea what this movie was about and I don’t know how confident I am in my understanding now. Zoe kravitz as the director definitely shifts my opinions a bit but there are so many holes that went unresolved, so idk.

My introduction to wicked was that one glee episode where Kurt and Rachel battle for the defying gravity solo and Kurt purposely fucks up just so Rachel could get it (even though she def didn’t deserve it). So, I didn’t understand its origins or why so many loved it. In the show, the competition was referred to as a “diva-off,” which is very on-brand for glee, but this is actually reflective of wicked, except in wicked, there is no winner.…
