  I really love this movie, because it is the anti-Whiplash. In Whiplash, the core message was that you should sacrifice everything for the pursuit of art (a statement that I strongly disagree with), and portrayed an incredibly abusive mentor/student relationship that they never condemned. It rubbed me wrong in a way that I still think about today.

  A fun movie with a strong first half that sadly falls apart a bit by the end. Still, plenty of gags landed, and Jack Quaid really does a lot to carry the whole premise. I had a good time!

  There were some good jokes, but too much of the film has half of the main cast pushed to the sidelines and the main antagonist is extremely transphobic. Konosuba is better than this.

  Absolutely incredible and outrageous. I loved every moment and was so glad that it took things to extremes. That said, the company that makes The Substance program could really do with a customer experience consultant.
