  3.75/5. finally got around to watching this after YEARS of being told to. man something about capturing the essence of growing up really makes me feel nostalgic about my own youth. storyline wise I don't think it was the most compelling thing I've seen (these men are all massive simps), but I really enjoyed the simple wholesomeness of it all and how genuine the story is. I feel like there was this brutal honesty behind the storytelling that brought together…

  another kinda cheesy and often cringy chinese school coming of age film but what i love about these is exactly that
  it has this like... naive warm-toned everlasting summer vibe and it's so simple and easy to understnad what the characters are feeling and the world they're livign in even though i've clearly never gone through the chinese high school experience of falling in love with my handsome deskmate
