This movie is very picturally beautiful! All these amazing shots playing with perspective, shadows, composition, in breathtaking half-ruined Vienna, it's satisfying and dreamlike in itself. Sometimes maybe it's a bit clumsy (look how cool, I'm gonna film that angle diagonally!) but what the hell, the whole time I was daydreaming about how I'd never live to see 1947 Vienna with my own eyes, nor the magnificent Old World Vienna it hints at.
