  It hurt to watch — maybe that was the point? Maybe it was unethical? I’m not sure. It was French.

  Little Hands feels like a film that’s desperate to make you uncomfortable — and to its credit, it succeeds. Following a toddler’s perspective during a kidnapping is an interesting idea. 

  It’s clear the film wants to say something about class, desperation or maybe human nature — but it never quite lands. Decent, but not quite as profound as it seems…

  Oh, Nolan… you genius. Subtitles off for the full experience: confusion, deafening bass and the distant murmur of important exposition 🤷‍♂️ I’d mention the nonlinear editing, but it all comes together on your fourth viewing… I love this guy
