Flight Risk 2025
For the first hour, this movie is borderline unwatchable. Then there are parts where Mel Gibson suddenly remembers he has a directing Oscar (not that the good moments are even close to that high, but I’m making a point) and it’s almost okay.
But the script is AWFUL. Topher Grace just plays Eric Foreman again. Marky Mark plays himself. Michelle Dockery…ma’am…what are you doing here?
The only star here is because it felt semi-tense like 3 times and bc I did chuckle when I was and wasn’t supposed to.

It’s awesome fr. Super fun and exciting. My nails need help.
BUT…Felt like there were less satisfying portions bc some characters become massively important without being developed at all? And some moments that were definitely intended to be silly felt oversilly? Does that make sense?
Still it rocks because Josh Hartnett is electric and M Night absolutely plays by his own rules, so it’s tons of flash and fun with some shady attempts at substance, but that’s M Night. Take it or leave it.
I will take things like this every time.
