Blade Runner 2049 2017
For such a long movie, Villanueva does a phenomenal job of leaving the viewer floating through in wonder and curiosity. Not only is the cinematography stunning, but so is the dialogue. The writing in this film makes you simultaneously look inward, asking yourself what it means to be human, as well as outward, what does it even matter?

Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023
Animation at its peak once again!!! I was a huge fan of the first movie and came into this movie cautiously with all of the mixed reviews. That being said, my expectations were blown out of the water. Even outside of the stunningly creative animation, the story really shined. For a movie with so many bold characters, the team did a great job of keeping a focused and interesting plot going throughout the runtime of the film.
