A rollercoaster of what the fucks, holy shits and HELL FUCKING YEAHS!

It’s unbearably beautiful to look at and Frederik von Lüttichau gives the most magnetic performance I’ve seen in recent memory. This movie left me gagged and I really don’t even know what to write…

Sorry to all my movie friends, but I will be jerking this one off for years to come.

Yet another top tier banger. This and Annihilation double feature.

A profound masterpiece that transcends language and time. Each moment we spend with this family carries so much truth and authenticity. The acting is just so honest it’s riveting to watch ordinary lives play out in such a tumultuous time.

Walter Salles has made something truly magical without any need for embellishments. Each time we switch to the raw camera footage as if we are in the moment with these people it just felt so emotional. Like we are all connected. I’m honestly just blown away by everything. The costumes, set design and the period accurate vehicles. It’s just all perfect.

Magical cast, magical screenplay. The dialogue is so relentlessly funny. The characters are so painfully human.

It’s such a rare and amazing thing when a film is able to ground me. I’ve wiped so much of my earlier years from my memory - I never felt like myself until my 20s. But to forget all of my awkward, deeply formative experiences would mean I’d never connect with a film like this.

I love this with all of my heart. A new Australian classic.

This is camp, this is slay. This absolutely made my day. The kind of movie that makes you wanna do a back handspring in a wedding gown. The kind of movie that makes you wanna roundhouse kick your stepmother.

This one is for the gays and the 12 year old girls who feel like they don’t fit in at school. Also a hit with the cinephile crowd so all around a winner.
