Yi Yi 2000
The film follows a family, more specifically the youngest son, teenage daughter and the father. The camera style and cinematography implied that we are watching and observing their life, but not taking part with it. The story was shot in the cinema vérité style, which allowed the story to be more organic and natural. Writing was also profound at times.

Renoir 2012
Every frame felt like a Renoir painting. The lighting was mesmerizing, and beautiful. Fair amount of nudity as it depicts Renoir in his later years with references to paintings he made during this time period. Dialogues felt poetic at times which captured human intimacy well. The story was okay, some points didn’t connect and felt abstract.
