I’ve known about John Mulaney for a while now but never really watched his stuff, I always had the impression he was too upbeat and corny for my taste. Finally watched this special and thought it was hilarious. It’s pretty much exclusively about rehab and cocaine abuse struggles, while normally stand up specials have a variety of topics throughout, but it’s so entertaining and I can tell it’s personal as well. I’ll definitely be checking out more of his stuff.

Actually listened to this on spotify at work like a couple weeks ago. Had a blast. As someone who loves really dark humor but also loves a healthy dose of dumb humor and stoner humor, Pete kinda hits everything I like. Poor bastard has gone through so much shit in his life, I thought a lot of it was for the bit but looking up his history this guy has some demons, like damn.

It's hilarious, creative, has a great script, great cast, great characters, great cinematography with a lot of creative camera angles, really cool ways to have on-screen text (like the "3 Days Earlier" stuff like that),…

I can't believe I ever rated this anything below 5 stars. This is the masterpiece low budget independent horror film. It has very little gore and blood and yet feels so visceral and violent. The atmosphere is perfect and keeps you in suspense for the whole first half or more until unleashing its disturbing and fucked up last act. Then the ending crescendos into complete release of tension instead of winding down slowly, leaving the audience to process all the…
