What the fuck! Rarely has a film repulsed me this much. A sick male fantasy wrapped in an uninspired, overly kitschy vampire fairytale. R*pe culture dressed up as art, with every female character reduced to a body meant to be possessed, consumed, or used. Sick of this shit.
It’s exhausting that stories like this are still being told, and boring because there’s nothing fresh or meaningful here. Just the same tired patriarchal tropes, disguised as a “creative vision.”I truly hope Robert Eggers gets some help and goes to therapy.
