What a way to start man this movie was incredible. Incredibly engaging story effects of war and the way it destroys one’s innocence. War is something so suffocating and evil that from then on Ivan’s true childhood and innocence can only exist in his dreams. While the story remains a little too simple of a premise for me I find the way this movie is so completely emotionally driven with virtually no action yet we are able to feel all the haunting after effects of every war and every battle that will have forever changed these characters lives
