perfectly captured the (Malay) preteen/teen experience with puberty, particularly the taboos and myths surrounding it—especially in a conservative area. being slutshamed for not covering enough and to be shamed for rebelling and having fun. not only by the adults but by your peers who are going/will go through the same thing. thank you misogyny?!
too much jedag jedug for my liking but it fits honestly. great cinematography. loved the cultural touches throughout the film.
