Excellent that I watched this after reading Walter Benjamin's Reflections compilation. This film sits with Benjamin's level of infrared scrutiny and honesty with regards to contemporary culture that inevitably becomes prescient (albeit he works on assuming some ideas from Romanticism to be true). Varda never wastes our time and her empathy is always with whatever is least powerful in a hierarchical system.
