Too dependent on the initial shock value blast, this movie is not slow and methodical it's simply slow after the introduction. It runs through all the tropes of your typical morally questionable cult but never creates that sense of ambivalence necessary to have me believe these young people would be curious about anything past the ritualistic sacrifices.

Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker 2019
Breakneck pacing and absolutely stupid misdirection made the whole experience nauseating. Characters are introduced and have their arcs resolved within moments, and character relationships are flimsy at best, and outright tripe at worst.
Retconning years of story for the sake of brain-dead payoff is just insulting to the legacy the previous films had built up and it's apparent that this simply exists to be bigger and flashier.
