Perfect Blue 1997
Watching this movie was like getting whiplash after whiplash. It started very casual but it gets deep and nuanced (not in blue as the name entitles). It portrays the Japanese pop culture or how idols are perceived more likely. It also shows how struggling is to be an idol to be an actress in general and how everyone gets to perceive you.
