This was generally ok, but the climax was a bit too... cliche? Like I kept wanting it to get more fucked up, or to somehow peer into the gaping maw of the abyss but it just didn't.
Even so, I did think it managed to wrangle new disgust out of a cliche (i.e. the Jim Jones thing is so culturally received that I think it's hard for me to read it as anything but almost a "meme") in the way…
