Oh wait, you dropped this 🥛

ahhhhh honestly, loved this one. Intensely human, delightful, subtle, NOT subtle, sinister, painful, funny. This film shined in its symmetry and its killer performances. 12 million thoughts, but my main one is Harris Dickinson, that acting was undetectable! And Nicole Kidman, you are sneakily detailed and I am captivated by your stunning shifts between the private and the public.

Denzel Washington’s work is full of the most mesmerizing ease. Really enjoyed this one.

I wrote a clever review but what I actually want to say is, how precious is it to see something both fantastical AND sensitive. A really nostalgic watch/listen for me, and surprisingly reinvigorating. Cynthia and Ariana embodied the iconic friendship theatre fans have come to expect from Wicked, and brought heaps more than anyone could have seen coming. New depth, new heart, new comedy, new power.

Indefinitely holding space for the lyrics of defying gravity…

My late friend and acting mentor showed me this film years ago. I watch it every year on my birthday because no one does it quite like Monty does.

A generational performance by Montgomery Clift that could be cut down to just his eyes and maintain the same behavioral and psychological impact. Like watching microscopic explosions, one after the other. He’s one of the greats because it’s so small you could miss it.
