I know how much effort goes into filmmaking so I never want to write bad reviews... But this was so terrible.

Honestly, if this was made in 2002, it would have been an absolute hit. Have you gone back and watched any romcoms that you liked in the early 2000's? They're all terrible. Seriously. Don't rewatch any romcom now, it will ruin it for you.

The realistic complexities of these characters are woeful. The vocabulary was outstanding; the self awareness, honesty, and intellect of both Sandra and Daniel was extremely captivating.

Every single actor was exceptional in their role. So natural and seemingly effortless.

This is what films should be. We don't need kitch. We need more relatable stories that are told seemlessly to help us understand the lives of others.

It's as if Daisy Ridley's character was depression itself. I really felt this movie. It was weirdly comforting watching depression so perfectly mirrored in front of me. The office humor was a great juxtaposition of her lack of inner dialogue.

A brilliant movie made for bright and curious minds. Not for everyone but if you like to question reality, analyse society, you know, use your brain, then you will love how wildly beautiful and original this is.

If you just want to be entertained, maybe watch something else.

I watched this with my mom and we could not have had such entirely different reactions. I love my mom but dear god I didn't realize how many people don't appreciate art. She kept saying "ewww Emma Stone having sex with Mark Ruffalo". Grow up mom.
