Sunset Boulevard 1950
Another BOMB CLASSIC that I have neglected to watch until this very moment. Even paced drama with a splash of “oh that’s gonna complicate things”. I liked how the story revolved around the sad-rich-former actress-living in the past-obsessed women clinging to the smallest bit of happiness that comes to her and the ungrateful yet trapped young wannabe writer is a source of her wellbeing. It’s an interesting complex that just works for this era of film. I’m a fan.
