Still in awe.
Thankful to have been able to catch this in 70mm. There’s so much that I still have to process and will definitely be doing a rewatch, but suffice it to say, this film really is an achievement. Adrien Brody, Felicity Jones, and Guy Pearce are all electric in this. Brody embodies László Tóth so fully here that at times I genuinely felt like I was watching footage of some historical figure I’d never heard of.
The score is also INCREDIBLE and endlessly entrancing. Daniel Blumberg deserves all of the praise he’s received.
