'Maybe the next girl should save herself.'
A love letter to the 80s:
'Maxxxine' expertly captures the sleaze and glam of 80s hollywood, from the mesmerising opening credits to the detailed soundtrack and costumes. Maxine Minx is a truly unique horror protagonist- refusing to let herself be a victim, villain or hero. She defies typical character types making for a very engaging watch. Though some parts of the film felt a touch predictable and it may not be the strongest of the franchise, I definitely would recommend this film and thoroughly enjoyed it.Translated from by -
