Nothing revolutionary, and the dialogue could get a little stale, but this was a fun premise executed with some visual flair. A perfect Netflix movie.
Thank God they were wearing their Polaroids towards the end because it was actually getting pretty tough to keep up with who anyone was.

-simple stakes and clear story

-cute side characters
-a banger soundtrack
Moana 2 is missing some crucial ingredients. It looks great, the side characters are cute as heck, and it has a really great villain/not villain musical number. But the mythology is a little too convoluted. There isn’t a tried and true villain. The songs by and large suck.

Honestly can’t believe this didn’t happen to me at age 24 when I watched Twin Peaks.
They had a concept, and they didn't do much with it. But the performances are what everyone showed up for anyway, and those delivered. Shania Twain did her thing.
