Although my first time watching this I gave it a 2/5, I decided I had to rewatch the film. To be so highly regarded I knew I was missing something and I realized what that was. I watched it for the first time cramped on a 7 hour flight. His family’s death was an unbelievably unlucky coincidence in a sequence of nonsensical destruction. He didn’t have to blow himself up in the end either. He completed his mission but he still could’ve helped at the last civilization place.
