Rewatched this joint and actually enjoyed it a lot more on the second watch. The Leo/Brad dynamic is undefeated. The uneasy vibe/creepy feeling starting at the Spahn Movie ranch was subtle and really well done - I didn’t catch that the first time around.
Had to end it in classic Tarantino fashion - I’m still a sucker for his over the top violence. Somehow strikes a balance between gory and funny.
It was fun. I was a little confused on the family business but after some googling got it straightened out. I am NOT buying that his mom looks that good after 20+ years but maybe I’m just a hater. I’m always going to enjoy vicious Roman emperors and epic gladiator fights in the colosseum. Sue me
For a movie about a serial killer, this was pretty boring. Would rather listen to a pod about this guy.
Cameron Diaz and Jude Law? Who needs a strong plot when you have beautiful people falling in love and Jack Black being weird. S/o to Kate Winslet for being by far the best actor/actress in the movie.
